Oil painting of an Italian historical site on Lake Garda

Garda

A visual exploration of homesickness and threshold situations, set against the landscapes of Lake Garda and the city of Verona.

This series, inspired by a late summer trip to Italy, reflects how architecture and landscape sparked deep questions I hadn't realised were on my mind. The wide shores and hazy blue mountains of Lake Garda created an inner space where questions like "Who am I really?", "Where do I belong?" and "Why am I here?" began to surface. At first, they were subtle, but over time, they grew more insistent. As a result, this series focuses on motifs that explore the tension between closeness and distance and threshold situations.
